I recently returned from a trip to New York City with my daughter, Carlee. We had an amazing time- we walked the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, rode the subway, visited the Museum of Natural History, Central park, Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Empire State Building, attended a Mets game at the new Citi Field, and watched Lion King on Broadway. Amazing!
One of the most interesting things though was being on Wall St. I did a tour of the Federal Reserve Building and was hoping to see Mr. Bernanke but, unfortunately our paths did not cross. I wanted to give him my two cents on what needs to be done to get money flowing from Wall St. to Main St. He must have known that I was there and avoided me at all cost, he didn’t want an ear full. I was able to visit the vault beneath the Federal Reserve and see all the Gold that we are storing for every other country in this world. (less than 5% of this gold belongs to the US- how sad is that?) oh well, at least they sent me home with a souvenir- shredded money!
